The card requires one cardbus type II slot.  This type slot is used in older laptops.  So check out your laptop specs before purchasing this card.  For newer external sound cards that use USB connections check out NI Audio 4 DJ on my web page.
The card comes with a 6 foot cable for RCA and 1/4 inch connections.  I  purchased a Monster cable for heaver use and better signal carrying capability.  One end connects to an adaptor which connects to the Echo Indigo dj card.  The other end connects to the front panel Audigy2ZS Sound Blaster card RCA L & R inputs and plays through my desktop computer or connects directly to club equipment.
This is the card that allows MixMeister Fusion to do it's magic and allows monitoring and adjusting of next track transitions while the curent track is playing.
NexStar-3 USB external 3.5" hard drive enclosure and 250 GB WD drive.
I found the NexStar 3 enclosure to be the easiest to set up and most problem free of all USB drives I have tried.  All my music is backed up on this drive and a second copy on a second NexStar drive.  I maintain one copy of my my most used tracks on my laptop.
